It wasn’t raining this afternoon which was good. The fair was in the village hall but then everyone headed out to the tree, where the lights were turned on and we sang carols.
One lady had snow machine which was fun for the children.
The lights did look pretty as it got dark.
I had brought the frame upstairs that I used for the Christmas tree display last year and have hung the twelve bargain baubles on that I bought a few weeks ago. I need to find my ceramic and glass decorations I have made to add to it. I am sure I have put them somewhere VERY safe!
Strictly results were disappointing but Chris is still in. I haven’t mentioned on here before that Anya and I are going down to London to see the semi final live.
At least you didn’t come back from booting with things you don’t need. Always an up side 😊
ReplyDeleteIf you’re anything like me you have no chance of remembering where you put thing, or even what things there were. Makes it fun when you do find them though!
I like your sketch. You’re very good at plants. Not an easy subject to get right with all the different layers of leaves.
The Atwick tree looks really nice in the dark. The street lamp actually helps to make it stand out.
Your Christmas tree will look lovely again this year, once you remember your safe place 😂
Strictly semi finals will be great to go to, but I’m guessing a very long day. Worth it though.
We have a much nicer breakfast if we don’t go booting so that is a bonus too.
ReplyDeleteI did find the decorations but needed the step ladder to get to them, maybe find a new storage place next time!
The tree does look good and a lovely tradition to turn in on while singing carols.
