A couple of walks

This morning I fancied going for a walk even though it was quite murky out, a very different day from yesterday. Tina came out with me today which was nice. We drove to the front and she parked at the end that I never go to so some different subjects for the sketch book. We walked a fair way along the front, some of it on the beach and some on the promenade.
And Tina said don’t miss the Christmas tree!
Sat with the cat for a while when ai got back, then after lunch I walked back down the the front and to the far end to do my sketch. Lots of people put this morning and this afternoon, folk having their Boxing Day walk despite the weather.
There was a bit of a web on this dead plant in the front garden, I quite like dead seed heads.
Yesterday evening I did manage to do one of the simpler puzzles, getting six shapes into a tray. I should explain that Mike make all the puzzles for me on his 3D printer. But I didn’t manage making them into a cube, which apparently you could. Tried again when.I got home and did the cube as well, eventually! May have another go at one of the other puzzles now!
I have a box of acrylic paints that I haven’t used, never really have used acrylics, but though I would try a quick go at the poinsettia on a canvas I got a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t draw it first, just straight in with the brush and the colours are a bit on the vivid side!
We are going to watch the Festive Throw Down this evening.

  1. I wish I’d have gotten out for some walks like you did, but couldn’t be bothered 😊 It did look a bit gloomy on the beach, but still nice. Good to have a bit of company for your first walk too. When I saw the pic of the pipe on the beach I thought it would be good for a sketch. I was right when I got further down. I hope it’s a clean water outlet!
One puzzle down 🙂 Have you tried the calendar yet, or is it still on December 25th?
I like your painting. Not easy to do that without a sketch first. I like the vivid colours.
I will try to watch The Throw Down on catchup. Hope it was good.

  2. The calendar isn’t on December 25th, or any other date now!
Quite a bit of walking yesterday, don’t often go in that direction so it made a change.
Just had the urge to try and paint the poinsettia, must be this sketching every day spurring me on!
Throw down was very good, apart from the presenter!
