Fair bit of walking

Tina drove me up to Mere Hall care home this morning so that I could visit Lesley. I spent a couple of hours with her and then walked home, it is about a mile and a half but downhill. The wind was really chilly but it was a beautiful bright, crisp day. Took a photo on the way.
I packed the advent jigsaw black into the boxes while Tina finished her Christmas wrapping then we went and had lunch at the recently opened Greek Taverna.  I started sorting out the edge pieces of the new jigsaw and then went for a walk to the front to try and be inspired into a sketch. It was cold and I wasn’t inspired so went and had a drink in the hub cafe and sketched what I could see out of the window.
I got on with getting the edge of the jigsaw done, I still managed to miss a few even though I thought I had been really thorough!
Feeling quite weary and lazy this evening!

  1. That is a fair bit of walking. I bet you got your steps in easily today. Although you’re probably knackered from it!
I knew you’d get the jigsaw back in its boxes 😊 Did you have something Greek at the new taverna? I don’t know a great deal about Greek food. We have a little Greek eatery in Rivergate, but I’ve never tried it as I wouldn’t know what to order! Maybe one day.
Good choice for the sketch today. The front definitely looked cold and miserable in the pics. Sitting in a warm cafe and drawing makes much more sense 🙂
The new jigsaw looks like it won’t be straightforward. Lots going on in the picture. Keep you amused for a little while. Not that you lack in things to keep you occupied!
You’ve done quite a lot today, so I think you’re entitled to feel weary and lazy…….enjoy it 😊

  2. I think if I keep the sketching up I will be drawing things again, maybe from a slightly different angle!
I think the jigsaw will be quite tricky, no big areas of colour to get started on.
They had a lunch menu on and it didn’t seem particularly Greek.
