Friends and dentist!

On Saturday, whilst eating tomatoes and cheese I thought something was wrong with one of my back teeth as it was sharp! It wasn’t painful, except to my tongue, but I phoned the new dentist at 8.45am and got an emergency appointment for midday! I walked down to the leisure hub where I was meeting Linda, Angela’s sister to give her a Christmas cake. I took a photo while I was waiting for her.
Talking of photos I did take a couple earlier on. Sky pics, the second one has the moon in the trees, finding it will test your eyesight!
Linda bought me a lovely lantern, she really didn’t need to do that.
I carried the plant home, had a drink with Tina and then sent off to the dentist. He said a bit of enamel has gone and left the edge sharp, he smoothed it off and all is well. Just a £20 charge which is pretty good for an emergency appointment.
Came home for lunch and then visited Sarah and David. They are going to Spain for Christmas.
I went into the garden for todays sketch.
Yesterday I got a surprise parcel containing a jigsaw. It was it was part of a subscription. I eventually found it was a gift from the American family and a six month subscription.there was an extra small puzzle in the box with no picture to follow. Such a great present.
I have weakened and has a piece of Christmas cake this evening.
I have tidying to do this evening, house inspection tomorrow. There are times I wish I wasn’t such a clutterbug!

  1. That’s good news your dental emergency didn’t turn out to be too drastic. Can’t believe it was only £20 for the appointment and you got one the same day! Was it very hard cheese you were eating? 🙂
I really like the silhouette style pic. Nice colour for the sky. The pink clouds in the second of those pics don’t look real. We do get some great effects in the sky with the clouds and light. It’s a shame more people don’t look up there occasionally instead of walking around with their eyes glued to their phones ☹️🙂 I can see the moon in the other pic, well I think I can.
That’s a cracking plant you were given, it’s huge. I foresee a sketch coming on. Talking of which, tonight’s is lovely.
The puzzle was a nice surprise. Do you get a puzzle a month delivered with the subscription? Very good idea. The small puzzle is a nice touch too, specially without a pic to go on.
Really pleased to hear you’ve started the Christmas cake. As I said, you of all people should be tucking into it by now……I am and it’s bloody gorgeous!
    Hope the tidying went ok.

  2. Yes, a puzzle a month for six months, I wonder if they all come with an extra little one, or maybe that was just because it is Christmas.
I think a big sketch of the plant will be coming at some point, it is a bit big to condense into the daily sketch book.
