I only walked a few more steps and it started spitting so thought I would go back to the house and stand on the drive and try to draw Tina’s car! It really started to rain so it was. Pretty quick and smudgy sketch!
I found my glass and ceramic decorations and a set of size Wrendale tree ornaments that Tina got me in the sales after last Christmas. So they are now on my ‘tree’!
Last night I started the advent jigsaw and today I have done the second section. Will have to do three days worth on Friday as I am away for the weekend!
I met Sher this afternoon for an hour and then she and Dve came back and collected their cake and took Haley’s as well. Slowly getting them moved on!
I went to the shop after it was dark and the lights are really pretty in the town but photos don’t do them justice. They are not over the top but make the town look very festive.
I have started reading a book by Rob Rinder, not my usual subject matter but it is really good.
Should think about starting on the Christmas cards, but may just read another chapter!
That’s a nice pic of the church. It’s not been the best of days here either. But it is winter I suppose. Roll on summer π
ReplyDeleteAt least you managed to get a sketch done, even if it did get a little smudged.
Your tree is looking nice. It’s very different, and one more Christmas tree than I have π
I think the advent jigsaw is a great idea. Plus you know how long it’s going to take to do before you even start. You don’t get that with most jigsaws.
Before long you’ll be careless. I’m looking forward to mine.
Enjoy your book, cards will wait π
Yes, winter has arrived, the rain felt really cold today!
ReplyDeleteI have been doing a sketch a day for two months now, when when the first missed day will come.
I have never seen an advent jigsaw before, it is a great idea.
Six cakes on their way at the weekendπ
