Back to work!

Today was my first shift as a member of staff at the pottery, only doing the one four hour shift a week for now, see how it goes. I filled all the paint pots today, was shown the workings of the till and the drinks machines. Also did a bit of clay work. When I had finished Caroline gave me a lift to the care home where Lesley is. I stayed with her for a couple of hours and while I was there she had visitors that had been at the Christmas Fair downstairs.
I walked home, it is about a mile and a half, and as I had walked to the pottery this morning quite a few steps today! I took a photo of the mere as I left and anothe one further down the road.
I did the tenth section of the Advent jigsaw and have now got in on a board large enough to finish it on.
When I was walking back from the care home I remembered that Tina had got me some roses in the shopping order on Friday evening. I had put them in water and then forgot them as I was getting ready for the longs day of travelling on Saturday. They are still lovely, and now in a vase!
An indoor sketch again today, a drawing of the hyacinth kokedama that Sher did for me.
A quiet evening now.

  1. Definitely a lot of walking today. Hopefully you’ll be tired enough to get a good nights sleep. But I know it doesn’t always work like that!
I think it’s great you’re now an official member of staff at the pottery now. At least they know you’ll be a good, and reliable one.
Lesley’s visitors look really great. I definitely need an outfit like that, although I wouldn’t be able to pull it off as well as he does.
The advent puzzle is coming along well. Will you know which pieces go in which box when you take it to bits after Christmas?
The roses look very good considering they are four days old. I often think of buying some myself, but I’m not good with flowers or plants. I just manage to kill them off.
Just had to look kokedama. Hopefully it’s absorbed any negative energy you may have had hanging around 🙂 Nice sketch.

  2. The puzzle pieces all have their number on the back, but whether I can be bothered to get them back into the boxes is another matter!
That outfit the guy was wearing really was great, very up market!
