Boot sale and in the garden

Will keep the chat to a minimum, haven’t been in one from watering the gardens, my leg is really painful and want to sit and do nothing for a bit! We went to the boot sale, very busy again and quite warm for a change! I bought a needlework box, I have a similar one but this needs a bit of tlc and I intend to use it for my numerous pens! There are two of the ceramic knobs, there is one in the photo. They have bees on and I will fix them to the box as one of the handles is missing.
Also bought a tiny pin tray because I liked the illustration, it was 50p!
Darren drove back via the sea s a couple of sparkly water shots!
I sat on the swing with Tina for a bit and Darren joined us very briefly so got him to take the selfie, not too willingly!
I went into the garden after lunch to clear some of the piles of rubbish I have been cutting back into a part of the garden we don’t use. This bee was on a buttercup, so obviously not a very big bee.
The sea holly is getting some nice blooms this year so should be fabulous when they go blue.
Finally three shot of the garden taken from the garden swing, so a different perspective again. The foxgloves along the fence in the third one are fabulous this year.

  1. Sitting and doing nothing sounds a great idea. You should definitely do it more often.
I think the sewing box as a pen box is a great idea. The sections in it look perfect for the job. You’ll never be hunting to find a pen or pencil again ๐Ÿ˜Š I like the little tray too. Couple of good and useful bargains today.
The sea looks really nice in those pics, and you got the obligatory bird in one of them.
    Smile Darren ๐Ÿ˜„
The sea holly is lovely when it gets its colour. Looks pretty good green too. Is it actually a flower or is it classed as a weed as it’s very thistle like?
It’s been quite nice seeing the garden from different angles lately. Does make it look so different. It’s certainly looking good though.

  2. Not a weed, the se holly, you can buy it at garden centres.
The sea was lovely today and the pics picked up the sparkly effect.
It really shows just how much back garden there is when you see it from the different angles.
