Bus to Hull

I was up early, before six, so fed cats and birds early and went down the road to buy a card and get it posted. I needed some things in Hull so decided it was time to give the rollator a longer trip out! I met Lesley at the bus stop and she lifter the rollator into the storage area. Just as well as the bus was heaving and push chairs taking up all the spaces! I visited a couple of stores in St Stephens and then went to Waterstones for lunch but not tempted by the books. Then walked down to Lush as Tina wanted some of the bubble bars. Thought I had time for another drink and then made my way to the bus station. I do know that the buses to and from Hull are now only every one and a half hours but aimed for the old times and just missed one! So then I did buy a book as it was better than getting more refreshment. Started reading it while I waited!
A massive queue so I got the rollator into the luggage place again. I had made arrangement to have a phone consultation with the pharmacist at the surgery for 4.15pm, got home with about ten minutes to spare and was exhausted the bus had been very hot and crowded! Only took one pic on the way home when the bus stopped on a bridge.
Have been to see Sarah and David this evening and have been making a start on David’s birthday card this evening, he is eighty in a week or so and as he is almost blind I try to make tactile ones with strong colour! Haven’t finished it yet.

  1. You’ve had a long day then. You like your trips into Hull, well usually. This trip sounded like the buses were fun. But you found room for Roger. Yes I’ve named the rollator! He can be Roger Rogers 😂
Bet you were glad to get home after your epic trip. Did the consultation with the pharmacist lead to any ideas?
I’m sure David will like the card. It’s nice that you make the extra effort to make one he can “see”.

  2. It was a bit of an epic, but it will be a book I enjoy as I have read most of her books.
Needed to ask for another prescription so that I don’t run out while I am away for a few days.
    Roger Rogers, could be worse!
