Bit of walking and more gardening

After the grocery delivery I walked toTesco to get fresh rolls etc for lunch. Stopped at a cafe on the way back and had a sausage sandwich and cup of tea. Darren had gone to the gym so I sat with Tina for a bit and then headed off into the garden. In the walled garden there was a tiny insect on a leaf, it was about half a centimetre long. This was the clearest shot I got..
The main beds in the back garden have lots of dying vegetation and we’re looking messy. Behind the bed is an uncultivated area so did a lot of strimming there before starting on the flower bed.
The cordiline flower is getting taller, it looks like it will have multiple small flowers rather than large ones.
A marigold in the walled garden has a really pretty centre!
Sun h a lot of clearing, and it was actually warm today. Again the photo is from a different angle!
A photo of the garden fron a different angle, I was right at the back under the trees.
After dinner I went out and did some watering, I think the thunder storms will probably miss us tomorrow.
My leg has been painful today but the garden won do itself! Have had a shower and taking it easy now.

  1. Well considering it’s been a hot day, here at least, you’ve got a fair bit done. Good start to the day though with a sausage sarnie. Builds you up for a bit of work 😊
The insect on the leaf is a strange one. Not too sure what that is. Good pic though.
The bed in the first pic of it doesn’t actually look that bad from that distance. A bit different when you’re actually stood in front of it though. Looks a lot better in the after pic. I like the pic of the marigold, they are nice flowers.
The garden looks so different from that angle. Looks like a totally different place. The lawn is looking really good too. Much better than it’s looked for some time!
It would be nice if we had a good downpour during the night to cool everything off and give your flowers a drink, but I can’t see it happening ☹️
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

  2. Pleasantly warm rather than hot here, but a lot better than the last few days.
Now I am happier using the strimmer I do think I can keep the wild areas under control. I didn’t get as far round as I had hoped, maybe do a bit more tomorrow.
