Bit of a walk

This morning I did a couple of chores and then decided to take the bus up to Freeport and then hopefully feel like walking home. I had a drink and then walked up to Pound Stretcher and bought a few bits. There was a very unusual coloured flower in one of the tubs there.
Polly’s Path wi very green at the moment.
I am glad that I didn’t have this much sticky weed to contend with, it seems to be a good year for it this year!
Passed this unusual rose on the walk home.
I called in to see Sher and we had a chat, she has a new sign outside the shop painted by a local artist.
I have been doing some jigsaws on on line, this one was cute!
The next one had weird shaped pieces and some have angular pieces which are really difficult, and although they aren’t big you have no picture to follow!
I did go into the garden and did some hoeing, the sunflower seedlings have taken well so far.
The lupin is looking lovely this year and there will be lots of poppies behind it soon.
This foxglove had been knocked down either by birds or cats so thought I would put it in water and hope it might liven up! I haves forgotten I had painted this particular vase, two pics as Pandora decided to investigate!
Have made a card for my god daughter this evening.
Going to try the second episode of a drama this evening.

  1. The weather looks as though it was a bit brighter up there today than here. It’s been very overcast all day and we’ve even had a few very light showers of rain. Not really many spots though.
Nice for you to get a little trip out for a while. Plus it beats gardening 😊 That flower is unusual, it’s very dark. Polly’s Path always looks nice. Even better as green as it is at the moment. That is a lot of sticky weed. You’re not tempted to do a bit of weeding there then? 😄
I like Sher’s new sign. Very colourful. Hope the oiks don’t decide to add to it!
The jigsaws look great. I bet some of them are really hard without a pic to follow. At least you won’t lose any pieces!
The sunflowers really are doing well. You should have quite a few this year if they all make it to full size. Lots of seeds for the various animal visitors.
I love to see the pics of the flowers when everything is so green behind them. It makes them really stand out. Trouble is if everything is green it means the weeds probably are too!
I remember you doing the vase with the foxglove in. The foxglove looks a bit worse for wear though. Could look worse I’d Pandora decided to “play” with it 😊
    The card looks nice.
Enjoy episode 2. I’m looking forward to it.

  2. It was good to have a walk, albeit slowly, and always good to have a giggle with Sher, she thinks I am funny, can’t imagine why!
I really hope some of the sunflowers will survive.
The foxglove is still looking pretty sad, think it may have been broken for too long to be rescued!
Trying the drama again, jury is out.
