This morning I went out at about 5.30 am in the hope of seeing sunrise over the sea!

The third one was taken from the island in the park as it was open and I had a wander home on there, was home about 6.45 am. Mike and Michelle arrived about 9 am and we went to breakfast with Darren. Then we went off to Bempton Cliffs. I was taken with the gannets again, I just love them, regal looking and huge!

And a little group.
The view is great.
Michelle and Mike just before we left.
Then we went to Sewerby Hall, Michelle in the walled garden.
This seagull was winding up the penguins.
A beautiful golden pheasant.
We shopped on the way home and had fish and chips for tea. Very pleasant day.

  1. Well I saw the sunrise too, but it didn't look ad good as yours did over the water. The one I saw was just over a hedge!
It's been a great day with some really nice weather, a bit chilly at times but well worth it to see all the lovely birds. Sewerby house was great too, such a nice place to visit. A great place for a family day out, and a very reasonable price. Nice cake and coffee too!
Eaten way too much, but it's only once in a while, and tomorrow is another day.......of eating way too much again, hopefully :-)
