I bought an ivy plant a week or so ago with the intention of drawing it. did a pencil one the other night and used coloured pencils, last night I drew it in ink and used the pearlescent watercolours.
Great sunset last night too.
This morning I walked down to the front, my ankle was sore but need to keep using it methinks! A grey morning and a grey bay!
As I walked beck to the crossing to cut back into the park I saw this bike sign. They are appearing now as Le Tour is fast approaching and we get it on the final day this year.
Still raining so a wet park picture!
Was in for a bit and thinking about tidying up a bit. Darren and Tina had gone out early to go to a SciFi convention at the Spa. They decided to go on the open top bus as parking would be a nightmare. They came in for lunch and Darren was going to go back again this afternoon. Tina had some work to do so gave me her day rider ticket. So I headed off again and caught the bus to the south bay. Oliver's Mount was shrouded in mist, so got off the bus at the start of the bay so I could take a picture!
Had a pensioners meal deal and walked along the bay catching the bus back from the far end. I Stopped the bus along by the large man statue as I had spotted a rainbow on the horizon, quite feint, but lovely. With the sun behind me I had no idea what I was taking, but this one came out reasonably well!
As I walked back along the front I passed the bike that is the finish line marker!
Sat and watched a Wallander with my feet up this afternoon and have The Voice final and Casualty to watch later.

  1. A busyish day and lots of pics, can't be bad. Couple of really nice ones in there. The sunset is a lovely one, and the rainbow looks lovely, but my favourite today is Oliver's Mount covered in mist. The foreground really makes it look nice. As for the ivy drawing, well you know my favourite style had always been the ink outline, so it's a winner with me. I'd forgotten about the painted bikes, so it's nice to see them again. When is the actual race?
Do you think I could get away with getting the pensioners fish and chip meal? I might give it a try when I'm there :-)

    1. The race finishes here on May 1st or 2nd I Think, so not that far away. I don't have to prove I am a pensioner so should think you will be okay!
