I haven't been out today, except into the back garden. The ankle is feeling a lot easier, thankful for the rest I think! I punched out the holes in the plant tubs I bought yesterday and then got the four acer trees planted up. I wrote the variety name on each pot, as they are all different, and I will never remember!
They all look healthy, lets hope they can cope with the wind! A close up of the most leafy one!
I had some washing in the machine and thought it was time to try and make a batch of the small, stacking sponges again, but this time decided to colour the icing and not the cake mix. Also used my usual cake recipe as we thought the first one was a slightly odd texture. Three of them looked a lot better, the ones on the lower shelf were paler.
The final cake looked an improvement on any other sponge attempts I have  made since living here, and I have just been down and tried a slice and it is actually fairly sponge like, so onward and upward, may try another usual sized one....
Yesterday Tina bought me a shopping bag that you colour in yourself, so sat and filled it in this afternoon using Sharpie pens.
Will do my exercises again in a bit as I have an appointment at the chiropractor tomorrow.

  1. Does you good to have a day at home sometimes, and you also get stuff done. The plants look very healthy and colourful, and I see the shed is still standing too, which is a bonus!
The cake looks gorgeous. Bet that won't last long! A stack like that with jam and cream on each layer would look really good too! Fingers crossed the larger version works out too.
Like the bag, perfect for you.

    1. It was good and managed to enjoy it all with the help of painkillers!! Lot of walking involved and although hundreds of people there it wasn't overpowering. xxx
