I printed off a picture of a spider last night. It was labelled the Geek spider, but not sure if that was a real name or just an amusing one.
I got a couple of parcels ready to post and went to the post office before I set off for the ceramic studio. The bisque spider is about the size of an open hand and very chunky.
Then painted, will obviously look different when fired.
Then I had seen a little bee last week so decided to paint one of those too.
Saw this lovely flower on the way home.
Yesterday evening I started cutting strips of blue and green as I planned to try making a quilted picture wall hanging. This afternoon I sewed them together and have started the quilting. I am doing the branches with the darning needle on the machine so it is freehand, like drawing with a machine needle!

  1. I bet the spider will look great when it's fired. The picture of the spider you printed off actually looks very cute, well as cute as a spider can be. The bee looks more like a bee now that you've painted it, although I still think it looked like a rabbit in the shop :-)
The new quilted wall hanging looks brilliant. I really like it. Where are you going to hang it? You don't have a lot of unused wall space left!

  2. Haven't really thought about where it will go, maybe a present for someone. I thought the spider was quite cute, but I do anyway!!
