Did the exercise a few times this morning, tried with my eyes open and can hold it for longer then. I need to keep my knees bent otherwise they hurt which may or may not make it more difficult! Tina dropped me in town as I needed to go to the bank, then I had taken the trolley as wanted to get some shopping, the intention being to try again to get a reasonable sponge cooked!! I soon began to ache, but put that down to overdoing trying to get the exercise right. Been a bit sore all day now, but I am sure it will settle, I am actually feeling quite positive about it. Saw these chalked signs at the end f Bar Street.
Then this unusual hand made brooch in a shop window.
Then this great display in a shop window a bit further down the road!
Before we went out a flat box, looked like a large chocolate box, arrived, but had flowers in that Tina has sent for. They were packed facing both ways, I had already started moving them when I took this but you can see how narrow the box is.
Now in a vase!
I watched a couple of Wallanders this afternoon, complete with a lap cat, while I rested my achy legs!! Then I went down to repot the little coffee plants.
There is a pine cone seed in the other pot, you never know! When I was out I got a pair of shoes in a pop up shop that has cheap clothing. The gap to get your foot in is not big, so I struggled a bit with that, but once on they seem really comfortable.
Decided to make that sponge. not quite as good as I used to but certainly a vast improvement, so I will keep on trying!
Have I Got News For You is back tonight, looking forward to that!

  1. Sorry to hear the exercises are giving you so much hassle, it'll be worth it in the end though. Shopping and drinking coffee in town is always good therapy anyway :-) Love the little shrimp/prawn brooch, very cute. Good job they didn't have earrings to match, or they'd have been going home with you along with the new shoes! That bunch of flowers in the vase don't look as though they could have possibly come in the tiny box. Lovely flowers. The sponge cake looks good to me. Hope Darren and Tina aren't getting too fed up having to test all these cakes? :-)

  2. Darren did comment about there suddenly being a lot of cakes but I don't think he really minds! The flowers will be lovely when they open up. I WILL crack the exercise!!

  3. You are certainly one for sticking it out, well done. Shoes look nice and soft and the cake tasty. Is it sugar free? I know u were doing some of those when in Peterborough. Flowers will be pretty. X

  4. No, not sugar free, that sort of went with the move, sadly. The shoes are soft and seem comfy but have only tried them indoors. I am sure the flowers will be lovely as they open up. x
