We had booked to take an electric boat out today so were getting ready reasonably early. Big excitement to start the day as we saw a stoat out at the back of the lodge. There are plenty of squirrels, in fact one of them appeared to chase the stoat away. We did glimpse it again a bit later but didn't have time to get the camera out! None of us had ever seen one before, so a lovely start to the day. Did get quite a good picture of one of the squirrels!
We walked down to the boating lake.
The boat ride was lovely and Anya steered it very well.
We came back here for lunch and had a quiet afternoon, Isobel did go out to practice on her scooter.
She also collected lots more stones for her collection! Louis came across this afternoon for a while and that was really nice.
That was when we were walking down to the village to look around and get some dinner. We went to an American style diner.
Getting ready for our last evening now and Louis is on his way home.
Looks like another nice day, activity and weather wise. And a stoat too, can't be bad!
ReplyDeleteAll the trees there look very tall and skinny, are they just not that old? Like the use of the old red telephone boxes. Are they actually phones, or just for show?
Glad that Louis made it there for a while today, bet Isobel was chuffed too :-)
I don't think they are young particularly, just very tall pines. The boxes can be used to contact the control centre, but not actually phones. Isobel was very pleased that daddy visited.
