I finished the table centre quilt a couple of nights back, I think I know someone with a biggish table that would like it. The combination of hand patchwork and machine quilting worked quite well.
Today I have stayed in, Darren and Tina both have very busy weeks ahead when they get back from their weekend away so thought I would do a bit of baking to make life a bit easier. I made a cottage pie, lasagne , an apple crumble and attempted a lemon drizzle cake. Didn't have a loaf tin so used a round cake tin. Put it back in the oven twice although it had already had over the time indicated. Really struggling with getting baking right with this oven. Tasted a slice and although I have had better, have also had worse!
I got some take away trays yesterday and here are the dinners almost ready for the freezer!
This afternoon I have rested a bit as the ankle has been really troublesome today, but have almost packed for the trip to Peterborough tomorrow. I am hoping that Darren and Tina are on their way home and not still in Cardiff, it will be a late night if they haven't left yet, took them seven hours to get there!

  1. The table centre looks really nice. Someone will be very pleased with that.
Wish I had someone to bake for me! They all look very tasty, and I'm sure I could demolish a big chunk of them :-) Even frozen in individual containers, you spoil them! Bet I can guess what they'll be having for tea tomorrow, or even supper tonight!
Hope the weather stays fine for your trip to Peterborough tomorrow.

  2. Haven't done that sort of batch bake in a while, won't be making too regular a habit of it though!! Won't matter too much if it is raining on my way down, but dry would be better!
