Michelle and Mikes visit ended rather abruptly yesterday evening, well, almost bed time actually. The three of us had been enjoying watching The Wizard of Oz and Michelle got a phone call a few minutes before the end. Her boyfriend had been involved in a road accident on his bike and was in hospital pretty badly hurt. Mike offered to drive her straight home so they got packed up and were away a bit before 10.30 pm. Heard from Michelle today and he is pretty badly injured but hopeful that all can be put right with time. I had a pretty achy morning and did one or two chores but nothing too energetic. Had an appointment in town so did go out this afternoon. It was drizzly and grey, it has been a dull day but think it has dried up now. Took a picture of this plant in the garden, the name escapes me Mike, but I do like the green flowering plants.
The little turned goblet type pot I bought yesterday is only 3 inches high. Of absolutely no practical use but very lovely and only £3.
When we were in the car the centre of a tiny knot in the base of the goblet came out. I managed to keep it in my bag and not lose it, really tiny, and today I have stuck it back in. This picture gives an idea of just how tiny it is!
Nothing planned but relaxing this evening, Scott and Bailey is back tonight.

  1. Fingers firmly crossed that he up and about very soon.

Not quite such a hectic day for you today, specially without two bad influences dragging you around to cake shops :-)
Like the plant, it'd be a good one to draw, with ink of course!
You won't be surprised to know that I've not had a sudden urge today to do anything with the bit of wood I bought! Another day....maybe.

  2. Like I said, you have about a week and a half!! I have dragged some material out all over the floor, trying to see what colours I have. Not too many that co-ordinate!!

  3. Hi, what a horrible end to Michelle's stay, hope the boyfriend starts to recover soon. As you know my sister had a heart attack while here, ruins the visit. Love the green plant very attractive. That small piece of cake won't do Michelle any harm she looks as if she needs a few more. They were well wrapped up, is it that cold in Scarborough ? We've had some lovely Spring days here. Hope the ankle is holding up xx

    1. Michelle eats quite well now but still weighs about 7 stone soaking wet!! We had a nice day on Monday but it was chilly on Tuesday, the wind doesn't help. Ankle not too bad thank you, it is taking it's time to get right though!
