This morning I had a hair appointment for 10 am, so set off in time to walk up the road. Very blustery, but quite bright this morning so not a bad walk up there. After that I walked to town, wanted to get more scissors that hopefully wouldn't hurt my thumb so much, as I still have a long way to go with clipping the raggy quilt. After I had bought scissors, and a pattern to make a body warmer with my new material that I got when I went to the sewing shop the other day.
That is really lovely material close up, although I suppose not it you have arachnophobia! Anyway, a quilted body warmer is my intention. It was a really bright morning so walked down the ridiculously steep cobbled street that has murals all the way down.
A bit further and different murals.
Then even more as I was nearing the bottom!
It is a fabulous street but better for walking down that ascending! I walked a little way along the south bay, watching the wind on the sea and sand. Not easy to capture but the sand was skimming along the pavement as well as over the wet sand on the beach.
The new life boat station is going to be huge!
I passed the harbour before I made my way up the hill (not as steep) through the old town.
The weather was beginning to turn as I made my way back to town. I love the odd shaped building that you see quite frequently in Scarborough.
Cut down a side street to take a photo of the bay with the metal statues in front.
Have spent a couple of hours clipping away at the quilt, may get it finished this evening if the cat doesn't come in and demand a lap. The new scissors are more comfortable to use!

  1. That'll make a great body warmer, and will most definitely be unique! You're so keen on finding jobs to do and things to make. You'll never get bored!
Some nice pictures again, and it looks like it's a bright summers day in most of them, although I bet it wasn't as warm. Love the road with all the murals. Don't think I've been up, or down, that one, I'm sure I'd remember. Will add it to the list.
