I had a chiropractor appointment this morning. It went pretty well and not quite so painful. He is happy with my progress and has made the next appointment in two weeks time. Has also given me another exercise to be doing in the meantime. I had arranged to meet Darren at Sainsbury's at 11 am and was in good time so went to a curtain shop called Squires as I had been told that they sell off samples cheaply. I got quite a collection of fabric that I am hoping will be suitable for table mats and items for church sales.
I must have about 7 metres and paid £9, so a good haul I think. Then met up with Darren, had a cup of tea and then we did a bit of shopping. When we got home we did a general house clean as they are entertaining tomorrow evening. Then I walked into town as I have a new quilt I want to make and I needed some coordinated fabrics. As I was walking home I though the sky looked like storm Imogen was well on the way!
Actually it brightened up a bit again, but then the rain came, but think we may have missed the worst of this one! I made tea for the three of us and then decided to assemble clocks! Mike had made one from a piece of wood he had bought at Snainton and then didn't really like it. So I gave a not too subtle hint that it could have a home here!
I was given six fun faces printed on ply wood. Thought they would make good clocks but they were too thick! So Mike took them away and cut shapes out of the backs so the mechanisms would fit. The faces are all the same but I have different coloured hands to put on. I like the white ones, I have blue and red as well!
Very busy day! Appointments, craft material shopping, clock making......don't you ever sit down!? It's a sure fact you won't get bored for a while with quilts, table mats etc to make :-) I should have added picture taking into the list too. Really like the sky in the one with the silhouetted houses.
ReplyDeleteRun out of steam a bit now!!
DeleteBusy, busy as always, the clocks look lovely. We had storm Imogen yesterday, that wind was terrible, not so much rain as they said but kept in all day again. Much better today.
DeleteWeather was kind up here today so hope it was the same for you. xx
