Yesterday evening I finished clipping the seams on the raggy quilt. The finished effect is quite striking, makes it look much prettier now.
This morning I made the sandwiches for Tina's meeting and then walked into town before making my way to the ceramic studio. I had a train money box to paint for Mike, well, not for Mike, for him to give as a present!! This is how it started.
I spent over three hours, there is writing on it as well, this is how it looks now, but it will be colourful once it is glazed and fired.
On the way hope I cut through to look at the bay, Very clear view even on the hills about the bay. It was a lovely bright walk but the wind was icy today!
I sent pictures of the train to Mike when I got home and he noticed that I had left one detail off, so walked back up to the studio to finish it off! Started thinking about what I need to pack for my trip to Peterborough tomorrow. The 'magic bean' it still growing and not looking about to keel over just yet, About 6 inches high now.
I really like the edge effect on that quilt. Lots of work in it though!
ReplyDeleteThe train really does look lovely. Sorry you had to make a second trip. I'll make it up to you :-)
Hope you've got a list of things you need for your trip, it's a long way to pop back for anything!
It sure it, will try to remember everything! I wasn't at all sure about that quilt until the clipping was done, but love it now!
