Yesterday evening I cut out pieces in the reduced curtain material I bought on Monday, to make a patchwork pot holder. I think the material is too shiny and another one might need more wadding. But as a trial run it was okay.
When Darren and I went out yesterday he took a photo of a plate for me as I wanted to try something similar at the ceramic studio.
After I had done a bit of shopping in town I called in at the ceramic studio. They weren't busy today so I decided to try and paint some flowers in grey onto a vase. I will add all three angles although it is hard to visualize how they will look when fired when using shades of the same colour.

Just went downstairs to take a picture of the sky, cannot take it from mu window in the winter!

  1. I really like those plates, and I'm sure the jug will be just as nice. Will it be for use as a jug, or purely ornamental?
The picture of the sky is beautiful. I love the way it's mainly concentrated at the bottom, with the clouds in layers above. Definitely follows the rule of thirds. Great photo.

  2. Strained to see the sky from the window, and rarely bother to go down to take a picture but it was just lovely. It is actually a vase and Tina does buy me flowers so hopefully I will be using it!

  3. I have no idea why I thought it was a jug. I even read where it said vase. I blame it on my age!
