I bought a magazine at the weekend and fell in love with a quilt which I told you needed 300 squares plus other pieces cutting. I would say it seemed like a good idea at the time and have done one of the twenty five blocks! It took a while so may revert to finishing another one before I continue!
Today I thought I would get out and enjoy the sunshine so set off to walk along the north bay to the south. We are a bit behind on the flower front up here but the crocuses are almost out in the grass on the way down to the sea.
The north bay looked glorious in the winter sunshine, I cannot believe my luck every time I see it!
And I was just loving the spray today!
Haven't added a castle picture for a bit.
The huge statue is so impressive, and so clever made out of metal.
You really don't want to know how many pictures I took trying to capture the spray, which was being affected by the off shore wind.
This one covers quite a lot of the bay, it is too wide to get a full picture from anywhere, well, with my cameras at least, you probably can!
This one is just the sea, see what I mean?
As I rounded the cliff to see the south bay I was into the sun, but it makes for quite dramatic pictures!
Walked back up to the town from the south bay and then went to the craft shop for our natter and cuppa afternoon. That was enjoyable. Home now and no specific plans for the rest of the day. Death in Paradise is on tonight I believe.

  1. I'd hazard a guess it took a lot of pictures to capture the spray, but well worth it as it makes a lovely picture. I really like the last photo into the sun, very nice. You really are lucky having all of that literally a few minutes walk away. Makes me very envious. On the plus side, we do have more flowers and blossom out than you do up there :-)
