This morning I got packed up and Michelle came to collect me. We went to Notcutts for breakfast, I used to have a loyalty card for that garden centre and got some real bargains there, so was good to have a wander round. I have recently bought two Lekue microwave steamers and have been finding them very good, even though they were both advertised with drip trays and neither of them actually arrived with one!
With these I have to put the meat or fish on top of the vegetables. They were selling one at the garden centre which had a drip basket and also dividers so that you could have one, two, three or four separate compartments, it wasn't too expensive so I got one and will probably try it tomorrow.
Had a lovely day catching up with Michelle and Julie and then Michelle took me to the Orton Centre to meet up with Darren for the journey home. The sky was lovely as we went along but the best view was out of the side window which is not good for taking pictures unless you want a complete blur! It was quite so impressive where we stopped for a drink and loo break, but took a picture anyway!
Took one as we were driving when we continued the journey, no particular reason, just like trying to get pictures when in the car!
Then one on the Humber Bridge.
We arrived home about 7.15 pm, did some unpacking then watch Vera with Darren and Tina, really good again tonight. When I got upstairs I couldn't believe how big the leaves had grown on the 'magic bean'!

  1. Lots of steamed meals. Very healthy. The new steamer you have bought is the one I was telling you I saw in Tescos the other day. I'll be interested in your opinion of it, then after you've done the testing, I might get one :-)
So, what's happened to the heart on the bean?
I like the first pic taken through the car front window, with the blue sky and the blurry trees. It looks like it should be part of an alien film, of something from Alfred Hitchcok?

  2. The heart is still on the actual bean but I was more fascinated by the size of the leaves this time! May use the steamer today.
