I mentioned that the new shed went up yesterday. Two very nice guys worked hard in less than ideal weather, and they have secured the base to some concrete and the shed to the base, so we are hopeful that the strong wind won't send this one on a flying trip!
A murky picture of them getting the base a bit more secure, it was taken through the bedroom window, which is filthy, but the window cleaner doesn't come round the back and it is not a window that I can lean out of to clean, so murky it will stay!! Yesterday evening I got the borders onto the charm pack quilt. I cannot continue now until the lady that teaches quilting helps me to mark out the wavy edge.
I took a photo of the assembled shed this morning.
This morning I walked up to the studio so that Sandy could remind me how to use the till as I am covering the shop for a while in the morning tomorrow. Came back and went out for a nice lunch with Tina. Darren had taken my shopping delivery in so unpacked it when I got back. Then, as it was a beautiful day I took a walk to the park and glen. There was still ice on the lake so it has remained fairly chilly today. The glen was as beautiful as ever.
I walked up as far as the large wooden sculpture, she looked quite striking today.
The trees are so tall, seeming more so because they are growing up the banks.
I had taken monkey nuts with me and did manage to feed a few squirrels.

  1. Apart from being a bit gloomy for the shed fitters, the other photos show nice weather. It could almost be mistaken for summer, apart from it being so cold.
Bet Darren is pleased with his new hideout, and it does look as though it's been fitted down more securely this time.
Can't wait to see the quilt finished, it looks great now, so a wavy edge will only add to it.

  2. This one is about 40 inches square so a bit smaller and more manageable. I am quite looking forward to getting it finished.
