We had a bit of a walk to the bus stop and saw this painted wall.
I queued at the ticket office and the man I saw waved me away quite casually saying I could use the ticket on an earlier train. I didn’t feel convinced!
We decided to go back a bit earlier to the train gate to check, but we had about an hour and a half so we went to the British Library. The first thing I saw was this ancient map of Chinese islands.
Then lots more interesting stuff but too much this time!
As we were leaving this amazing seat in the shape of an open book!
We had a quick drink and then back to the station and were assured again that I could travel on the earlier train. It was a Hull Trains train, so they are still running some. Judi saw me onto the train before heading back for a meeting. The journey was good and there was a refreshment trolley service so I could get a drink and snack as the journey is about two and three quarter hours. When I saw the bridge I knew I was nearing Hull if not home just yet!
I had over half an hour before catching the bus.
Had take away with Darren and Tina, looked round the garden and watered the trees and unpacked. But quite a while with a happy cat on my lap.
Back to usual visit day tomorrow.
It was good to get another little look in another interesting place. We only saw a small part of the building, would be good to go there again some time. It has been great seeing Judi, meeting two of the other nuns and spending a bit of time walking around in London.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to be home as well though and as you say, plenty to keep me occupied on the garden!
As my comment has disappeared yet again I’ll try again. Come on Google, sort yourselves out.
ReplyDeleteStill there at the moment!
ReplyDeleteNot now. I give up.
ReplyDeleteI tried again this morning, but it’s gone again. Not sure what they’re playing at!
