Old masters? I wish!

Yesterday evening when I watered the garden I took a photo of the abundance of sea holly blooms.
This morning the guys arrived bright and early and covered art in Tina’s office and set to.
I had to ask what these were, being a bit ignorant of these things and found they are weights that make the sash windows work!
I went up to the garden bin and the large plant up there is flowering.
We have sone book cases on the landing and mostly filled with yet more of my stuff! This isn’t all of it.
A lot more sketches and some that I did at a class, one you can see in that pile of stuff. So I will post three quite different pieces.
I am going to get out in the garden in a bit, my even pull out a few weeds before I water!

  1. The sea holly looks really nice and colourful. Does it still get overrun with bees?
I've handled a few of those weights in my time. They have to match the weight of the sash they are attached to so that it lifts without any effort. That's why they have it on scales so they can add to it. After their repairs it probably weighs a bit more than it did. Such a good system, but like all good things it's not used any more.
You really are going full tilt at this sorting. There won't be an area in the house left after your assault on it. I remember the Mandela sketch. Don't remember the one with the boats, but I really like it.
Don't go too mad in the garden, it's still quite hot!

  2. The amount of stuff I have out on the landing was depressing, but a good bit of it will go to the charity shop. So many more sketches to sort through as well.
They will finish Tina’s window tomorrow and they will repair the window in the downstairs loo. Well, make that open as well I suppose, don’t think it is a vintage one though.
