No photos today but a few from last night. Went to see the tribute act called ‘Sounds of Simon’ celebrating the careers of Simon and Garfunkel both together and separately. They were really good, one of the best cats I have seen and just £15 a ticket in the Floral Hall. We were st at the back a Pam is elderly and almost blind with mobility issues and we were able to go in via the fire door. The first picture is before the act started and someone also sat the left of that pillar and I could not actually see the singers but it didn’t matter as I could here them and I could see the footage that was displayed on the wall screen. I stood next to Sher to take the second photo.
I should have said that I dug out some glad rags!
Pam nd I really enjoyed it and so did Sher although she only cruelly knew about half the songs. I went to get Pam and I a cd each, I have listened to and enjoyed mine this afternoon while I was moving things around in the bedroom! Sher had met one of the band in her shop in the afternoons and pulled strings for us to have a photo with the singers. A bit dark but a nice end to the evening.
I did pop out to a fund raiser for the hopes for ‘Starfish Trail’ Sher and the Hornsea Collective have been getting sponsors and artists lined up for half a dozen or more large starfish to be mounted on walls round the town. I didn’t stay too long but bought cakes and raffle tickets! Apart from usual Sunday cooking I have continued some sort but more figuring out where to put things as my bedroom window usually has furniture all the way along it. But is will be worth it to have an opening window after getting on for eight years!
Going to watch Death Valley now.
You didn’t come home with lots from the boot sa,e, so that’s good as far as your sorting and decluttering goes.
ReplyDeleteI’m really pleased the tribute act was good. It’s a bit of a gamble with tribe bands, but you seem to have been lucky. The photos you had taken weren’t too bad, a bit dark but maybe you could lighten them slightly.
The starfish trail sounds interesting. Hopefully it’ll be as popular as the penguins.
I bet you end up winning something on the raffle. You usually do. You’re very luck with raffles 😊
Opening windows, it’s like being dragged into the 21st century.
It is a bit of a gamble with tribute bands, but I have seen worse and paid a lot for the privilege.
ReplyDeleteI did see a beautiful wren ornament but walked on by as the song goes!
Dione Warwick I think!
It will be a bit odd tomorrow having men working in both my rooms, Don’t know about being dragged into the 21st century, bypassed the 20th century completely!
