For one day only!

I got as far as the title and then got waylaid. I forgot to mention what I saw yesterday morning. We have a five year old wisteria which is huge but it is always very late to come into leaf and it has never flowered. Well I say never, yesterday I spotted two petals, you need good eyesight to see them! Today they have gone, so two petals for one day only!
Nothing much to report today, a little jigsaw, household jobs and a walk to the post box then by the sea.
The jigsaw is getting there slowly.
The sea looked lovely today, a good colour and calm.
I wonder what this large triangle of wood is going to be.
A couple of pics of a lovely flower and the name won’t come to me, I will remember when this is published!
Just popped into my one peony!
My book about Marianne North arrived today so will finish with a couple of pics from it.

  1. What a shame ☹️ One day only as you say. But at least you got to see them. They could have come and gone without anyone noticing them. That’d be even sadder.
You’ve done a fair bit of the jigsaw now. It is an interesting one.
The sea does look nice today. Very inviting in fact. Even I feel tempted to go for a paddle 🙂
The large triangle of wood looks like it might be a template to have roof trusses made. Looks like the place is having a fair bit of work done which probably includes a new roof.
I don’t know how you remember all the flowers name. The best I can do is “white ones” “pink ones” etc 😂
I’m sure that book is going to get well thumbed through. You should get hours of pleasure from it.

  2. Maybe the wisteria will have full flowers next year, but I won’t be holding my breath.
The sea did have a few people paddling, I haven’t done that in a while, maybe next time.
It really is an interesting jigsaw, I think it is one I will keep. The book will be interesting too.
