Acting like I am retired!

I have had a pretty lazy day so not a lot to write about.I will start with some garden photos from yesterday evening.
Alliums look great when they are dying off. The pink lupin is two tone when it reaches full size.
A sort of yellow red hot poker! And the lovely dark leafed tree with pretty blooms.
Darren brought me out a cuppa so I sat on the patio and looked at the garden while I drank it. Then Pandora joined me.
This morning I went to the banking hub then got a bit of shopping. I did get some towels out on the line to dry. Then a couple of light chores and some more jigsaw. I have a jasmine plants and the flowers had all gone brown so I took a while snipping them out as the plant is still healthy.
I went round the garden, the first dahlia has opened, that was a new one planted this year.
I have an asparagus fern in the garden which is getting very big this year, so I took this selfie by it.
I visited Sarah and David this afternoon and came back in time to have dinner with Darren. I went out into the garden after divine and pulled the worst of the large weeds and planted out some seedlings I had grown that were way to tall to stay in small pots.
I will go out and water later when the sun has gone down a bit.

  1. Considering it was a lazy day, you still managed to do a plethora of things. Pruning, weeding, banking, shopping and planting to name a few. As I always say, you put me to shame 😊
Some really nice pics of the garden on here this evening. I know it’s a pain having a big garden, but when you see the lovely flowers you have, and the nice outlook you get, or Pandora gets in the pic, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to go back to the postage stamp you had before…..or would you 😂

  2. It is a pleasure to see the different flowers and plants I guess something between a postage stamp and a park would be good! Erring more towards the postage stamp than the park.
I feel inclined to get out there but the extreme heat is not ideal.
