Congratulations Rosie

We did go to the boot sale but not that enjoyable today as the thunder bugs were out in force and they adored the bright yellow tee shirt I was wearing!
I bought half a dozen geraniums to go in the garden, will try to get cracking out there this week, weather depending! I went to the shop for some lunch bits and took a few of the cheese scones to Sher as she didn’t get to the jazz evening. After lunch it was time for me to get over to the bus stop to get on the minibus with a few other folk to go to Bridlington for Rosies priesting ordination. The priory church in Bridlington was a lovely venue for the service and it was take by the Lord Archbishop of York.
I had taken my camera but couldn’t take any photos outside the church as we had to make our wu back to the minibus.
There was a reception in the parish hall that lots of people stayed for. Hattie had made vegan cakes and a nice spread was laid on by the parish hall cafe staff.
Tina presented Hattie with flowers and a gift for Rosie.
It was a lovely relaxed reception.
Then we all went into our church to attend Rosie’s first communion service. Lovely music and a joyful occasion.
I am tired, I am sure Rosie and Tina are exhausted!

  1. I learned not to wear yellow when the thunder bugs are about. It’s like wearing a sign that’s says come get me 😂 A bit like wearing red when crossing a field with a bull in it 😊
That looks like a really nice church. Archbishop too, very posh. It was nice for Rosie though. A day she certainly won’t forget in a hurry. You won’t forget either after a minibus journey in a heatwave 🥵
I love the cake with Rosie on top 😊 It’s brilliant. Did Hattie make that?
I bet everyone is pooped after such a busy hot day! Hopefully you’ll sleep well tonight. Good job you have open windows now, you’ll need them!

  2. I think Hattie made the cake and her dad made the
    Rosie, very individual.
I am sure it will be a very happy day for Rosie to remember.
