As the weather wasn’t so good we had a drive over the bridge to the large netiquette centre near Caenby Corner. We had a drink in the frost building and then we’re quite some time looking round. I just got two metal stands that will be strong enough to display my glass pieces. It is. Large sight with several big buildings filled with items from many different sellers. We drove to another one and had some lunch there before browsing hundreds of items. We then went to a third, we will visit the others another time. I got an interesting book for a couple of pound and an erring and brooch set. Tina got a few bits as well but neither of us spent a lot, although there were many things we liked!

We both loved this huge piece of furniture and were not surprised the price tag was£4,750!
We had driven out of the rain on the way there and it turned out to be a nice day, on the way back we could see that we were driving towards bad weather.
That’s it for bridge pics today! But one from the bridge, surprisingly not blurred as we were moving.
There had been a pine cone near where we park the car and I said if it was still there and not squashed I would pick it up and try to draw it. As I was doing the sewing I was thinking ‘whose bright idea was this?’
Tina went over to see the nuns and go to a service so I decided to paint another coaster.
I have started reading the book as I didn’t know there were any female impressionists, but the book states that very few people do know.
I have had an early shower as it has been raining again and we have decided we are staying in. I have reading and puzzle book so quite content.
The coaster is lovely. I really like that.
ReplyDeleteThe centre you went to sounds a really nice place and definitely worth a return visit. The huge bench is called a settle. I’ve always liked them and would love one myself. Lot of money! You did well not to come back with more stuff than you have……this time 😂
A wet bridge tonight! But I just knew there’d be a couple in here somewhere.
Considering you’re supposed to be on a “break”, you’ve done quite a bit of art and crafts. The other coaster looks just as nice as the first and the pine cone just reminds me of a hedgehog 😂
Enjoy you reading, in peace without a cat!
I thought it could be a settle myself, but Tina wasn’t so sure and I had doubts as it was so tall and curved. The benches lifted for storage and it was so big I wondered how they got it into the building!
ReplyDeleteQuite enjoyed doing the coasters I did buy another brush because the ones they put in those kits don’t come to a point, and yu really need a fine brush.
I am riding about the women impressionists, interesting.
They actually made a lot of curved settles, but we tend to see the straight ones more. They nearly all have storage facilities built in. Would be such a waste of space otherwise. I was going to make one a long while ago, but like a lot of things I never got around to it. A real shame 🙁
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike, now we know😊
