Trip to Driffield

After morning prayer we went to Driffield, to get the banking done and have a little mooch around. We were just out for the morning as Tina had appointments this afternoon. I had a rough night and the leg has been painful today, but we took the rollator and it was nice to go to Driffield again. We like it there but it is a bit of a drive and we don’t go that often. We had a wander round the market and called in at Rafters, the shop where I used to have the veg boxes from. They were dong some changes and stopped deliveries for a while and I stopped having them as was never sure when I would be heading down to Peterborough. We bought some great veg there today and they said they now deliver to Hornsea on a Thursday.
I really love those romanesco cauliflowers. I also got another jigsaw from a market stall.
I just loved this display, brightened my day!
What a fun and brilliant idea.
We drove to garden centre then, admired these plants on our way in.
We had lunch there, took a photo of mine as it was unusual as it was a salad with strawberries and melon in the small dish.
You may not be surmised to hear that we ended up with plants. I may have to get them onto tubs for now.
I did some finishing off to the hoodie this afternoon, just some extra stitching on the hoodie and it is ready for the cold weather!
Resting the leg now hoping that it will be a little more agreeable tonight.🤞

  1. Glad you got out for a little trip with the Rev. Being stuck at home and not being able to venture far under your own steam make these little outings all the more important. Good job you both like shopping and lunching out 😊 Your lunch looks very nice. You put me to shame eating healthily like that. Looks like you’ll be eating healthily at home too with all that nice veg. Are you going to start having a box delivered again?
I really like the umbrella display. Very unusual and very colourful.
Not at all surprised about the plants. In fact I’d have been more surprised if you hadn’t got any 😂
Hope that jigsaw doesn’t have any missing pieces.

  2. It was a really nice trip out, Driffield is quite a quaint town.
I have ordered a box for next Thursday, so plenty of veg on the way.
