Picking up

My mood, not that I was really aware that it wasn’t what it should be, has lifted today and I have had more inclination to get on with things regardless of iffy knees. I went to visit Bel this morning,  she has felt a bit under the weather this week but was feeling a bit better today. The kneelers she made are being blessed by the bishop at a service on Sunday so I am going to go with her.
Jean came to visit me today as it gives her a break from home where she has had family staying for months now because of damage to their home. She came a bit earlier than usual because she had to be home for an appointment this afternoon. We had a good chat and listened to some John Denver songs.
After she had gone home I decided I was going to try and have a while working in the garden, no before photo but I worked a little way along one of the beds as it had been so overgrown you couldn’t tell where the lawn started.
All being well I will try to slowly get round the beds.
When Tina was home and had her tea we took a ride up to Mappleton, a lovely evening.
Tina had spotted garden spiders near where she parks her car, so took some pics when we got back.

Will finish with a nice sky, not sunset, just cloudy.

  1. Sounds like you’re heading along the right path if you’re feeling more inclined to do things. But don’t go too mad at those things! I’m sure it was nice to spend a bit of time on the garden, and that bed does look nice. Little and often though, as with a lot of things in life 😊
Church on Sunday too. You are pushing the boat out 😂 It’s nice you’re going with Bel though. She did make a great job of the kneelers.
Nice to get out for a ride, and Mappleton is a lovely place. You had some really nice light this evening. Lovely pics. The spider is great too. It looks huge in those pics! Probably not so big in real life.
    Good silhouette to finish with.
Hope the gardening today doesn’t mean you have to suffer tonight 🤞

  2. It was actually three different spiders, they were ok on one plant. Good to see garden spiders, they don’t seem so common these days.
I felt really good to d. Bit in the garden so fingers crossed I can keep doing little bits now. Time will tell.
The light was good at Mappleton and a lovely breeze, really refreshing.
