Before I went to the church I started on a small project. You may remember that I bought a hoodie with spiders and barbed wire on that I could get on but not get off, needing help to be released! I decided to put a zip down the front so cut it and attached some white bias binding I had bought. Have lost the spiders on the front but they are still on the back!
I went to visit Sarah andDavid after lunch, they had lots to tell me out their trip to Germany, including a pretty dreadful journey home.
I had a John Denver tee shirt that I loved but it got damaged and past it’s best, so decided to get another one. Not the same, but pleased that it had arrived when I got in.
I put the bin out and took a couple of pictures of roses in the front garden.
Bit blurred that one, nice clear wall though!
After dinner I got on with the hoodie, tacked the bias binding in place first and then added the zip. Still have finishing off to do and tacking to take out and may do another row of stitching to secure the zip. But it works okay and I will now be able to wear the hoodie without needing someone round to get me out of it!
Annika is on in a bit, nice way to round off the day.
You’ve certainly kept busy today. So that’s the sewing project you mentioned. You’ve made a real good job of that. It should be a bit easier to get off with the zip. I remember the trouble you had originally 😂 Clever old stick 😊
ReplyDeleteI like your new T-shirt too. I used to like John Denver myself. Used to play his songs on an 8 track in my car between jobs when I fixed TVs. Now that’s going back a lot of years!
Definitely a varied day too. Cooking, sewing, accounting and visiting. You’ll be pooped this evening!
I really like the second flower pic. I do love to see out of focus backgrounds as it really makes the subject stand out, doesn’t quite work the other way though 😄
Enjoy Annika.
I am pleased I ordered the zip and took the plunge with the hoodie. I really like it and will now make good use of it when it gets colder.
ReplyDeleteIt was an enjoyable day and it too much time to worry about what I can’t do at the moment,
Yes I agree, the out of focus needs to be in the right place!
