Sad memory

This morning when I was feeding the bird I took a photo of the lovely cyclamen that are flowering near Charlie’s grave. For those that don’t know he wa out lovely cat who got run over during the school run ab out three years ago. Then, weirdly, a photo memory of four years go came up today and it was of Charlie.
While I was out there I removed some large branches, well, small trees really from the dead tree. The tree was dead when we moved in but I have used it asa bird food tree! But more years, squirrel damage and high winds have finished it off!
Tina has had a busy nd sometimes difficult week but did find time to take me to the garden centre. We had a late breakfast and then I bought rather. Lot of plants!
I also bought a little kit, just seemed appropriate after going to the concert on Saturday.
I used the walking stick for the outing and the leg wasn’t feeling too good.
This afternoon I had an appointment to have my flu and Covid jabs at the chemist t the other end of Newbegin. I really struggled with leg even though I used the rollator and really needed to rest as soon as I got indoors. I was supposed to go to Sher’s launch evening for her new shop but have messaged to say I won’t be going.
Darren and Tina have gone to Heron Lakes for a couple of days now, they have a lakeside lodge this time so it should be great sitting on the balcony.
Not sure when the plants will make it into the beds, maybe my knee will feel fantastic tomorrow!

  1. Three years ago, that doesn’t seem possible. It’s nice you have the flowers growing there, they look pretty too. It’s nice and sad at the same time to look back at pics like that, but he does look like he was very comfortable in that chair 😊
They do look like small trees rather than branches. The Rev will be happy with them as they’ll be be more fuel for the fire, and I know how much she loves a good burn up 😊
That’s is a lot of plants you have there. It’ll definitely keep you busy putting that lot in when your leg allows you a bit of respite. Hopefully that won’t be too long.
I’ll be looking forward to seeing the cello during and after construction.
That damn leg is a real nuisance! I know you cope reasonably well with the pain when you have to, but I also know you were really looking forward to the launch evening tonight ☹️ She’ll miss you not being there.
Hope Darren and Tina have some reasonable weather for their little break. Sounds a lovely place.

  2. Really good that Pandora and Blue don’t venture onto the road. Blue likes the museum and looking at the park and Pandora stays i the garden. Charlie was a lovely. 😢
The leg is a pain, literally, but hopefully it will have better days.
There are a lot of plants, fingers crossed they won’t be sitting around for too long,
