Garden grafting!

I went out to the garden quite early and spent a good couple of hours making a start on the area that has the rhubarb and fruit bushes in. Seriously overgrown but I can only tackle one bit at a time! I did get a couple of drinks from Darren and he emptied the full and heavy garden trucks for me. I just tackled one side of the bed, will try and get the other side done at some point before I go to Peterborough.

While I sat on the swing having my second cuppa a blackbird visited the bird bath.

I came in and had a shower before getting my dinner then this afternoon I went to see Sarah and David and we watched ‘Marvellous’ based on a real persons life and a proper feel good film.
I went out and did a bit of watering with a couple of cans, will be hose time soon if we don’t get any rain.
We have spotted the pair f ducks a couple of times recently. This pic, taken with the camera but through a dirty window and on full zoom!
I have been doing some of the embroidery kit and will do a bit more this evening.

  1. You are keen going out there early to get the garden done. But if you have to then I suppose early is good as it’s not quite so hot, and if you get tea brought out then all the better 😊 The bit you got done looks very different and I’m sure you’ll get it finished before you head down south.
I’ve not seen “Marvellous” but it does look a nice film from the trailers. Well worth two watches.
I hope we do get a bit of rain before you have to resort to dragging the hose around. That’s a task in itself!
You certainly do get a variety of wildlife in that garden. You’ll be buying a sack of duck food next 😄
Enjoy a relaxing evening. I think you’ve earned it.

    1. Will get the back garden in some sort of order then back to the front. The weeds are on the March with a vengeance there!
We really do get a variety of wildlife, very enjoyable.
