Early start, boot sale and garden

I was up really early to make sure Tina was up and about ready to leave for the sunrise service. Darren and I didn’t leave for the boot sale until 7.15am so I had time to feed the birds and do some preparation for dinner. Even though we were there early it was already getting very busy. I got an edging tool with a bladed edge for £3, hoping it would be easier for me to use than the one I got at Boyes.
I also got another wren for my collection.
I did some chores and had a chat with Anya then go lunch ready for when Tina got in.
This afternoon I have spent quite a while on the garden continuing with the bed I started yesterday. A picture of the part that still needed attention.
Then it worked on and the whole bed.

Then I planted the gladioli bulbs that I have removed from other areas all along the back of the bed. I bought some bedding plants on Friday and planted them in the bed as well. Watered it in so another picture, not a great deal different.

I got on with dinner which was tasty. Now relaxing with the cat on my lap, it has been a long day.

  1. I had a feeling it might be busy at the boot sale today. Not so easy to spot bargains when there’s so many people about. Although it looks like you found a better edger. Hopefully it won’t need so much pressure to push it into the ground, considering you shouldn’t be doing it anyway! 😊 You are getting a little collection of the wrens now. They are cute though, and small, so don’t take up oodles of room.
The flower bed looks really nice now it’s been sorted out and planted. What’s that now, 1% down and 99% still to do in the garden? 😄
Hopefully you’ll sleep a bit better tonight after your silly o’clock awakening and a busy day. 🤞🏻

  2. It certainly feels like that sort of percentage! But another area sorted for a while!
Not feeling too bad considering but hopefully I will crash when I hit the pillow.
