Yesterday evening I sewed aprons until the tape ran out, exactly half of them.
This morning I dropped them off at the studio and agreed with Donna that I could get other coloured tape if there was no red. She also said she would like two extra adult aprons - one of those never ending jobs I fear!! She said that my coaster would be out of the kiln by early afternoon so said I would try and get back for it as I was keep to see the result. Walked to Boyes and got three different lots of tape, I thought afterwards I should have stuck to one as different colours means more bobbin and cotton changes. Walked into town and got a sandwich each for Tina and I for lunch, the ankle was pretty sore so waited for a bus. It was quite a wait and then it went the long way round, but it made a change. Tina and I went and had our picnic at The Mere and afterwards fed the ducks and geese, it was a bit of a feeding frenzy, probably not too many folk have been to see them in the awful weather this week!
Tina stopped outside the studio for me on the way back so that I could collect the coaster, will try the add on thing again some time.
Have spent most of the time since I got back sewing, have made two adult and three child aprons, just two more to go, just changed to the yellow thread so that I can get back to it when I have finished this entry.
Looking good, very colourful .x
ReplyDeleteFinished them all now, thank goodness, has been hours of sewing! xx
DeleteA productive day for you. The aprons look really nice, but I think I prefer the red tape rather than the other colours. Bet they're chuffed to bits with them.
ReplyDeleteThe baby birds are still looking very cute, but they'll soon be huge and chasing you for food. Hope you are your sandwiches in the car so they didn't pester you too much.
The coaster has turned out really well. Do you have a design in mind for another?
No plans really for pottery, although I am helping with another party on Monday so will have another freebie to choose. We did have our sandwiches in the car, been very cold again today quite apart from the birds wanting to share the food!
