The weather has been pretty awful again, I wish the wind would die down a bit!  It is really cold too, like a November day! Sandy picked me up so that I could cover the studio for a while while she helped her mother and brother. Just two families in but I did get a bit stressed when they were ready to pay before she returned. I use the till so rarely that I can never remember, and the first person wanted to use the card as well! The someone came to collect a platter, which of course was in the middle of the shop window, behind shelving and the barrier they have had built to protect the china. All in all I was very glad to see her when she came back. Sandy had some glazing to do so I stayed for a while and painted a little petal coaster and some 'add ons' as I have never done that before. I had my camera with me but it had no memory card in, so I took a picture with the phone and took one of that when I got home!!
The five hearts will be in that position and when gazed and fired will be there permanently, just balanced on for the photo. The ankle was pretty sore this morning but hasn't been too bad today, still not right by any means but maybe doing more exercises is helping. Sandy delivered a whole roll of table covering to me yesterday so that I could make some aprons for the studio. They want another half a dozen for the children and a couple for adults.
That is the sample for the kids ones. Here I was after making a pattern getting ready to cut them out.
Cut out and ready for attaching endless metres of tape!
Two down and six to go, they are pretty fiddly, well, getting the tape round is. No prizes for guessing what I will be doing when I have had my cup of tea! I only got twelve and a half metres of the tape, that was all they had, and I will be lucky if I get half of them done tonight!

  1. Quite a hectic morning for you today. I love the little coaster, and it's very clever how it's done. Will definitely look forward to seeing the finished object. You should have connected the phone to the laptop and saved the picture to it. I remember showing you when I was there last. I did ask Darren to sort you a lead out, but I bet she forgot. ARE YOU READING THIS DARREN? :-) The aprons look really good too. Bet they'd be quite expensive to buy, so it should save them a bit of money.
I totally agree with you about the weather, it feels more like winter than summer! I thought about, only thought about mind you, putting the heating on today!

  2. Half done and the estimate spot on, hopefully they will have a new roll of tape next time I go to Boyes! I will ask Darren for a lead again, want one for the camera too so that I don't go out and forget the memory card!!

  3. Not all cameras will take a usb connection. Not sure about yours.
