Last night there was this unusual cloud in my view.
A very subtle sunset yesterday.
This morning I walked up the road to vote and took a picture of the interesting looking tree bark.
The oriental poppy has so many flower heads this year.
The lawn had got really long in the back garden and as there may be rain tomorrow when Darren is home I decided to get the electric mower out. This was about half way and the grass container was completely full!
I emptied it into the pink garden waste trolley and again when it was full a second time. A lot of grass to fit into the already full garden waste dustbin.

I took a slow walk up to the studio and had a chat with Donna today. The funky plate has been fired, a very different effect.
I went into town and bought a few bits, I was really struggling today as the ankle is very sore. There was a new 'living statue' in town today.
I made my way to the bus stop and came home that way today.

  1. That is a funky cloud. I can see a head with a pointy hat! I know, I'm weird!
You have been busy again. The half of the lawn you've done looks a bit better. Not easy work when it's that long though, even with an electric mower. It's quite a trek to empty the box every time. Lots of exercise you could well do without really. There's never a big strong man about when you need one :-)
The plate looks good too. You must have made quite a few different items there by now.
Those living statues always seem a bit strange to me. I wonder how much money than can make in a day? If someone is busking for money you tend to notice them, but with the statues it's easy just to walk by and not notice at all.

  2. The statues are different, and not a job I would want! They seem to be very popular up here. I was seeing things in that cloud too, quite unusual, used to do that with patterned wallpaper years ago, it is surprising what you can conjure up in your mind! I have tried a few 'new' things at the studio, good to be an experimenter with them!
