A very relaxed and pleasant day today. Michelle went to work early but spent a bit of time with Julie before she went off for a walk by the river. I had a bath, and did some puzzles. Although my ankle was painful it was quite muggy and decided to go for a short walk to the river myself. Julie was just coming back, so came with me, not far but really nice. This lovely dog rose was on the way, there were the more usual pink ones as well.
Flower power day today, These flowers that look like huge buttercups were near the twins garden.
This beautiful rose was in there garden, and smelt lovely too. Tina and I were only talking about roses the other day, and the fact that in bunches of flowers these days they don't have a scent anymore and they droop very quickly too.
This one not only looked lovely but smelt good too. Then there was this fabulous area of honesty, I have picked three pods to see if the seeds dry well enough to grow. Have always loved honesty.
Had lunch with Julie and then Anya came to collect me and take me across to my sisters for a visit. Anya just popped in to say hello as she had to go and collect Isobel. Margherita and I had a game of Scrabble and I had a chat with her and Rose. Margherita walked down to the bus stop with me which was nice and I came back to Michelle's. She is calling in to see her boyfriend on the way home from work so I will have dinner with Julie and we and going to watch a dvd 'Grand Budapest Hotel'. A very restful day indeed, and it is getting a bit cooler now too.

  1. I nice relaxing day from the sounds of it. Glad you got to walk down to the river in the end. Lots of photo material. I never really think to take pics of the flora while I'm out walking. I really have to start taking the camera with me.
Enjoy the film. A nice relaxing end to a nice day.
