I must have taken twenty pictures of the sky last night, massive sea fret has rolled in tonight so wet and dismal outside today. I have picked three of the later photos to post, a real sky on fire.

I had mentioned that I had started on the little triangles, well, this morning I paired them up and sewed and pressed them'
Then all those little sticking out pieces had to be trimmed.
If you need a reason never to try this, the next photo might just convince you, the pile of tiny trimmings. Darren did ask what I was going to do with them! They are in the bin......
Yesterday Tina ordered a cat gate for me as the three year old cat is arriving this week and I have said that I don't really want more cats up here, Colonel will be unhappy if I have a gate, but I am sure he will get used to it!
We knew that this would not work for the kitten that is going to joining the household soon, but had thought it would work for the bigger cats. Colonel managed to get in at the side, not from the stairs, and push his way through, he is slim and the new cat is a bigger boy. I will get some material covering it, but the kitten will probably use it to climb over, so I will give that some thought. Interestingly, once Colonel is in he has to ask to get out!! I had emptied a large money box pig this morning and bagged up some coins,so joined Darren and Tina on a trip to town, we had a light lunch and I got the money paid in. Tina had a package to collect, so she did that and Darren walked off to the Spa to give blood. Have been doing a bit more to the triangles, they are now slightly bigger squares!
The television is a bit swamped for football at the moment!

  1. Beautiful skies! When you get them, you definitely get them! Worth having to put up with a bit of the sea fret at times.
I think Darren must be on the same wavelength as me, because as soon as I saw those little off its I immediately wondered what you'd do with them :-) 12th scale book bags?
Good luck with the cat gate. I think an electric fence might be more suitable personally. Sorry Tina :-)

  2. Been trying an adaption, so fingers crossed. The sky was particularly dramatic last night. The pieces are in the bin!!
