This morning, despite quite a bit of discomfort with the ankle, I decided to go and give the swimming pool a try again. This time I went to a Young at Heart session for over 50's and it wasn't swimming in lanes. It was better, although there is very little about the place, or the position of it, that I would recommend to anyone! A picture of the castle from the pool car park.
And one of the sea from up there.
I limped back, literally, through the park. The flower beds have been newly planted for summer and are netted off, I presume to protect them from the birds.
This pretty little duck went swimming by, not sure I have notices one of these before.
The park looked very green and pretty with this lovely plant in bloom.
When we went to B & Q yesterday I bought some canes and have staked the alliums now as they were bending quite dramatically.
I ordered a little electric egg boiler/poacher that was  on offer at a really reduced price. I looks quite modern and fun and it quite small.
My eggs on toast, a success I think.
I dropped off the aprons this morning and they are very pleased to have so many now. I can now pick a couple of nice things to paint as a reward. Now a message for Mike, Darren came up with two leads for me, showed me that I can indeed take my pictures from the camera without removing the memory card, so that is what I have done today! I am going to see Sweet Charity again tonight, as Tina knows some of the cast and I am happy to see it again as it was extremely good.

  1. You can tell what a climb it must be to the swimming pool from the view in your pictures. I've seen it myself, but never walked up there, that I remember. Shame the pool itself isn't more inviting. At least you got to walk through the lovely park, so not all bad.
The egg poacher looks great, and triangular poached eggs is definitely different :-) Bet they taste just as good though with a bit of salt and pepper on.
That's good news about the camera lead. I did remember after I said about it before that my Canon has an output under the rubber side cover. I forgot about it as I never use it. Hopefully you won't go out again and leave the card behind now :-)

  2. Hopefully not, will probably just forget the camera or it will have no battery!! Not all bad to actually have a reasonable swim, just need to adjust how I go about it!

  4. This little poacher tray is quite easy to clean, so think I will make good use of it. Have physio appointment now, but not until 28th June. x
