Some gardening and even made pastry!

Last night I slept in the bed, it was not a great success but it made Pandora very happy. She wa on top of me or beside me on the bed all night! Then when I sat on the bed with a drink this morning she joined me tai and looked blissfully happy. She won’t be so happy tonight when she realises I am back on the recliner!
I haven’t been beyond the grounds of the house today but have spent a fair bit of time in the garden. After feeding the birds I did a bit of tidying os the main bed in the front garden. There were still quite a lot of leaves. I mnged to plant four bulbs and a couple of foxgloves that I got out to the drive yesterday. It doesn’t look a lot different but I know I did move quite a few unwanted plants and leaves.
This afternoon I made a start in the walled garden, again, not looking a lot different but another garden cart of pruning and weeds!
Instead of a crumble I made an apple and summer fruit pie, haven’t made pastry for a while now, so had to have some toe make sure Irwin edible! It was.
Feeling weary but happily so now. We will watch Vera later and then Throw Down on catch up.

Might get that garden sorted yet!

A short walk to the shop this morning after the shopping had been delivered.  Fed the birds and picked up a few more sticks and branches back garden. Then Darren took me up to Freeport, we collected the pottery painting that Anya and did when they brought ne homeless Isobel painted a dinosaur mug and Anya painted a bauble in a single colour with speckled paint. Hadn’t realised the bauble pic wa slightly out of focus, so the specks are really not noticeable. The Easter dish sample I painted had been fired as well.
We had a nice lunch and then came straight home,
This afternoon I spent about an hour doing some pruning and clearing along one side of the front garden. The garden bin is now full so will have to find somewhere else to put trimmings as it won’t be emptied for over a week.
This evening I tried the second exercise dvd, they are really too basic, but at least I am Gond some exercises.
Yesterday eveningI started on the diamond art bag, have only been putting some black so far, in the wings.

Friends and a little gardening!

This morning I went to see Bel. She was fine and we did a bit of her jigsaw together before having a cuppa and natter. I used the Crimpit again for my lunch, using thins, I had cheese and pickle and gave them a quick blast in the microwave after toasting to make sure they were hot. Still a learning process but liking using them so far.
I went out with the garden cart and a hoe and thought I would try and begin to tidy the bed under the pruned trees. Still so many leaves everywhere and branches and twigs from pruning and strong winds. The pics don’t look like I did much, and to be fair, I was only at it about half an hour, but I filled the garden cart!
Jean came round for a while this afternoon, hadn’t seen her for a couple of weeks so we caught up with each others news.
A dvd I ordered came with the post this morning and after she had left I had a bit of a watch and practice! I didn’t have the right sort of resistance bands but managed with the ring ones until the strips arrive. What dvd is this, you are thinking!
It was fairly basic, but there are two dvds and hopefully the second one will be a bit more challenging. But building up on the simple stuff to start is sensible anyway.
Darren and Tina are both out this evening. Tina hopes to be back in time for The Traitors but if not we will watch it together later or tomorrow.

Trip to Lidl!

Reasonably quiet day today, I had some orders to do and Ringtons visited after a four week break. I started trying to cut out the little birds from the napkins and stick them to a bottle with lights in that Tina had given me. The napkins when the layers are separated are very fragile, so easier said that done. I have none many and the photo is with the little box I bought yesterday to decorate.
They look pretty awful on there but much better when the bottle is lit!
We got a small loaf with crusts cut off yesterday that looked about the right size for the square Crimpit. We just had cheese in them for lunch and they held together okay in the toaster, the cheese could have been more melted but when we use thins it will probably work better.
Tina was in and out to appointments this morning but we did go out this afternoon. We had a cup of coffee in Costa before having the excitement of a wander round Lidl. We enjoy browsing the offers nd I got some nice fruit and veg. I did cook some veg before we went out and made myself another wrap this evening. I think I will enjoy trying different combinations,
Will finish with Cornwall pics again, he is on his way home tomorrow so no more!

Long painting session

Yesterday evening I used some of napkins that Tina brought back from her cruise to decoupage the little square money box I bought last week.
This morning I had breakfast a Bemora with Angela. A package Ihad been waiting for was on the doorstop, but more of that later as Angela drove me up to Freeport to do some sample painting at the pottery studio. Rob was glad of my company today as the only other people I were a couple who just had a drink. I was over three hours painting a lantern. This one had a small crack at the top so couldn’t have been sold anyway. I put a single coat of paint on the inside and the. Two coats on the outer part and it was quite a big piece, so took a while!
When I got home I opened the package, I had sent for a pair of Crimpits.
Tina drove me up to Tesco so we could get wraps and thins. I tried the local shop and they didn’t have any. They didn’t have thin sat Tesco either, but did get some wraps and had one for my tea!
Heated it in the air fryer for three minutes, I had put in avocado, tomato mascarpone, some chopped rocket and a slice of thin ham. It hadn’t sealed perfectly, but practice makes perfect!
Will end with Cornwall pics again, may as well while I can!

Looking forward to The Traitors tonight.

Chores and short walks

This morning I got a couple of loads of washing done and some hand washing, then went to the bank and a couple of shops. I don’t use the cash machine now as we need people to go and use the bank, now we have one, so that we don’t lose it. I fed the birds and today did get around to changing the water baths. They were dirty but as they had water in them I didn’t bother, but couldn’t ignore them again today!
I made split pea soup yesterday and Tina and ai finished it off for lunch today.
I spent a lot of the day looking for my two small purses with all my loyalty cards in. The seemed to have disappeared into thin air. The fact that I am not the tidiest of most organised of people it was proving a frustrating search.
I am out of sync again today, there wA noise blurry sun in the sky early on, I tried to open the doors in the spare bedroom but they were stuck. So the pic was through my rather mucky sitting room window!
While I was searching I found the hedgehog plant holder I painted while still in Scarborough. I thought of taking it to Sher and then remembered I needed some plant holders myself!
I went to see Sher at the art shop this afternoon. Took a picture of the paintings I really like but can’t afford!
I met Oakley, her rescued Romanian puppy, he is eight months old now and the cutest, friendliest puppy ever!
Thankfully my tooth has stopped hurting today, I really didn’t want to be going back to the dentist any time soon.
Will finish with another couple of Cornwall pics thanks to Mike.

A dental start to the day

I got to the dentists just before 8.30 am and for once the door was already open. I had thought I was on a sit and wait and hope for the best ppointment but I actually got called in first. This time she has pinned the tooth so I did have an injection. It is a bit painful this evening which is a concern as it all the visits it hasn’t actually been painful, just annoying having to avoid eating that side. I am hoping it is just sore because of the pin being inserted, but time will tell.
I did do some clearing in the back garden for a while after I fed the birds. Just really moving more branches and twigs to the burning pile, but it felt good to be outside being vaguely active for a bit,
A few years ago now I moved a small hellebore into the bed we can see from the kitchen window. All advice said they don’t like to be moved, so I am glad I did it anyway as it has flourished, is now a large bush and is in full bud.
Rachel sent me this adorable picture, had to be shared.
I caught the but up to Freeport this afternoon to take the finished treasure test up to Caroline so that it can be fired. Didn’t paint, but had a drink and chat and brought home a set of Russian dolls to paint. Will don some designers on paper and see what I come up with.
Will finish with a couple more of Mikes photos.
