Trip to Lidl!

Reasonably quiet day today, I had some orders to do and Ringtons visited after a four week break. I started trying to cut out the little birds from the napkins and stick them to a bottle with lights in that Tina had given me. The napkins when the layers are separated are very fragile, so easier said that done. I have none many and the photo is with the little box I bought yesterday to decorate.
They look pretty awful on there but much better when the bottle is lit!
We got a small loaf with crusts cut off yesterday that looked about the right size for the square Crimpit. We just had cheese in them for lunch and they held together okay in the toaster, the cheese could have been more melted but when we use thins it will probably work better.
Tina was in and out to appointments this morning but we did go out this afternoon. We had a cup of coffee in Costa before having the excitement of a wander round Lidl. We enjoy browsing the offers nd I got some nice fruit and veg. I did cook some veg before we went out and made myself another wrap this evening. I think I will enjoy trying different combinations,
Will finish with Cornwall pics again, he is on his way home tomorrow so no more!

  1. Bet you had a big Ringtons order today if it’s been that long.
I do know how fragile those napkins are when you separate them, but it looks good on the lit bottle.
Those crimpets do look a good idea. Never heard of them before. I’ve always used a sandwich toaster.
I like going to Lidl, they have some good bargains and I’ve always found the stuff they sell very good.
Cornwall was good tonight. Shame I didn’t get the horizon level!

  2. It wasn’t that far out, good shot.
Yes, Lidl is good, and very reasonable prices plus good quality.
I will get a few more birds onto the bottle.
