This morning Tina had an errand to do so we went into Dunkeld. Errand completed we bought cakes to take to her aunts and had a drink before coming back to finish off the jigsaw.
It has been chilly today and spasmodic showers. We drove to Pitlochry to have lunch with her aunt and cousins. Aunt Anne was 85 today. We stayed for quite a while, leaving when Anne was clearly getting weary. A couple of journey photos. This evening we went to an informative talk at the arts centre about the planned development of the Beatrix Potter garden. There are going to be new statues and activity booklets for children. The garden is quite tired looking now so it should help to bring more visitors in in for the evening now and keeping warm with the cats help, although having her sleep on my feet is making them go numb!

I bet you’ll be happy to start an easier jigsaw for a change. You’ve had some stinkers lately. But I suppose you get your monies worth when the take longer π
ReplyDeleteI think it’s been chilly today too. But I’ve got man flu so it’s bound to feel worse!
A pleasant little trip out for you. How far are they from you? I like the roadworks pic. Even with the roadworks in it there’s still a lot of green π
It’s good to get involved with local things like the garden. New statues sounds interesting, and expensive! Have you thought about volunteering at somewhere like that or have you got more than enough to keep you occupied already? π
Hope you don’t fall flat on your face when you get up with numb feet π³π
Pitlochry is less that half an hour away by car, so not too far.
ReplyDeleteThe secured funding loans for the statues which is good.
The next jigsaw probably won’t be easier, it is all bees!
I have thought about volunteering but don’t want to end up doing something that becomes a chore nd then feel guilty giving it up!
