I got a glasses repair kit as a couple of days ago one of my lenses fell out and the screw was nowhere to be seen. Not surprising as I don’t see too well without my glasses! It was very fiddly but I managed! Then I went to the coffee morning in raising money for Christian Aid in the church. I stayed and chatted for over an hour and bought a couple more books. When I came home I went out in the garden for over and hour, pulling some weeds in the gravel and tidying the pots and then in the shed to try and organise it a bit by breaking up boxes and moving things around. Hopefully int will be a bit easier for Darren to get to his boxes at the back. Pandora came in to check out what I was doing.
After lunch I went for a walk along the Birnam path but heading away from the town. It is all very green now but I took some shots where there was a clearing between the trees.About a mile from home there is a bench near the water so I sat there and did a sketch, no getting away from the trees!I headed back then as I had had too many drinks nd needed the loo!
We have had dinner and I will go out and water the bonsais in case the forecast rain doesn’t arrive.

See, you’re a spectacle repair person now to go along with your other talents. Those little kits are a lifesaver at times. I wouldn’t be without one.
ReplyDeleteCoffee mornings are a place for chance meetings. You might get along with one or two and become friendly. Plus it’s for a good cause, and you can never have too many books π
Hopefully you didn’t overdo it in the garden, or you’ll suffer tonight. Darren will be pleased though if he has a bit more room to play around with out there.
It’s lovely by the river again. That’s a big old tree on its side. I wonder if it was deliberate or weather damage. But you do have plenty more in the area.
I know you don’t think your drawing of trees are very good, but I still think they are. As you say, you can’t really get away from them so you’ll get plenty of practice π
I know that feeling after a few too many coffees in town. You’re normally half way home when the need becomes desperation π³π
I think it’s supposed to be another dry day here tomorrow, but the rain is forecast for Monday onwards. Yuk!
It was quite light jobs in the garden but things that needed doing before they got worse!
ReplyDeletePlenty of nice cake t the coffee morning and I had better keep this reading desire as I have a pile of books now!
It was a nice walk by the river, very green and if we get the rain forecast it will feel fresher a well s green.
I’m sure the glass repair kit will be useful as we all wear glasses.
