Morning walk, lazy afternoon

Although my leg was a bit troublesome in the night I decided to go for a walk this morning. I wanted to try the path by the cathedral and see if I could get as fas as the hotel we have afternoon tea at last weekend. Tina had n appointment so she took me to the north car park in Dunkeld for me to start the walk. It seemed there was an enactment going on this weekend, but just a lot of tents when I went by.

I decided to follow the Bishops path.

You won’t be surprised that I took quite a lot of photos, the Bishops path was the tree trail route, I walked back along the riverside.

I arrived at the hotel and sat on one of the benches at the riverside and did a sketch.

I then followed the riverside path back.

Then I spotted a cave in the wall.

Then the bridge wa in sight, but I still had to get there nd then walk back to Birnam. I leg was playing up by then and made me limp a bit.
I had a drink in Dunkeld and bought some stuff for lunch before I walked home.
I sat and did some crosswords this afternoon with the cat on my lap, and watched some snooker and the F1 sprint race with Tina.
I may sort out the edge pieces of the Secret Garden jigsaw in a bit.

  1. A lift from Tina was good. Less walking more exploring 🙂
I wonder what sort of enactment it’ll be? I quite like things like that. Will you be popping along to have a look? Or it could just be a tent sale 😂
No I’m not at all surprised you took loads of pics. You have to when the scenery is so lovely. I’d be out taking pics all the time I think. I don’t take a lot around here anymore. You know the sort of scenery I have to look forward to!
That’s a big old hotel! You have to pop in for afternoon tea again soon. I like your watercolour sketch.
I love those little caves in the the walls. I can imagine if they were here, they’d be full of all sorts of rubbish and detritus ☹️
Sounds like the initial lift was a good choice if the leg was playing up on the way home. I wonder how many miles you’ve walked since you’ve been there, and how many inclines you’ve gone up 😊
Oh, you’ve got a secret garden jigsaw next. Is that a bit easier than the last two?

  2. Yes, very easy to get snap happy here.
It was a very big hotel, it is called Dunkeld House.
The Secret Garden puzzle is just 500 piece one but I think it will be quite tricky. I will put a photo when I get started.
The caves are cute, I imagine I will discover more.
I have done a few miles since being here and certainly lot of hills!
