Morning and evening walks

This morning I walked to Dunkeld along the river path with Darren while Tina was at a meeting. We had a drink there and went into a couple of shops and then returned along the river path. Darren went down the bank at one point, I watched!

We had an early lunch and Darren was on his way back to Hornsea before midday. It was hot and muggy this afternoon so I fed a bit but it was making me doze so I did a sketch from a photo I took yesterday indoors. Need to keep practicing those trees!
When the sun was going down a bit o watered the garden and tree and pots before Tina drove up to The Hermitage so we could have a stroll.

It was still quite warm and there were a few people enjoying a walk there.
I am feeling quite weary so won’t be late to bed.

  1. Sounds like the ankle is being a bit more cooperative now. Be careful on those paths though as it won’t take much to turn it again! I think Darren will enjoy being there full time. He likes the walks and exploring just like you ๐Ÿ˜Š It’ll also be a lot less driving for him. I imagine his trip home today wasn’t the best. Bank holiday and hot weather!
I don’t think your trees are too bad. They look like trees to me and I’m damn sure they’re leaps and bounds above what I could produce. You’re too hard on yourself.
I bet evening strolls up there are lovely. Maybe a bit too warm still after the weather we’ve had lately.
Not at all surprised you’re weary. I am and compared to you I’ve done nothing ๐Ÿ™‚
Hope you get a decent nights sleep.

  2. Darren does enjoy the walks and stops to look at trees, maybe we will both be bonsai people when he is up here permanently.
The evening stroll withTina was lovely too. My ankle was a bit sore when I got back this evening but not too bad.
We are not quite so hot up here, but definitely hot enough.
